Prayer Suggestions for Lydia Prayer Groups

We are not one but many, and our numbers are increasing -- clusters of women around the world praying for God's glory to be revealed. These materials have been prepared by Patsy Lewis, Lydia Prayer Director, to help guide you in praying for revival for yourselves, your families, neighborhoods, churches, cities, countries, and the world.

Introductory Letter from Patsy Lewis, Lydia Prayer Director ~ "Whether you are meeting by the riverbank, in your home, at a church, school, community center, or workplace, there is power in united prayer!"

Lydia Prayer Suggestions #1 ~ A Lydia Prayer Group is two or more ladies uniting in prayer seeking God on behalf of themselves, their families, churches, communities, and the world.

Lydia Prayer Suggestions #2 ~ Begin your prayer time with a few quiet moments to clear your mind of clutter and sense God's presence.

Lydia Prayer Suggestions #3 ~ Give God your worries and cares. Name them out loud and release them to Him in prayer.

Lydia Prayer Suggestions #4 ~ If you are in a home, go to the various rooms of the home and pray over each room asking God's Spirit to permeate the home.

Lydia Prayer Suggestions #5 ~ Allow the Holy Spirit to reveal to you any disobedience or ungodly attitude you may be harboring.

Lydia Prayer Suggestions #6 ~ Ask God to reveal some ways you can simplify your life.

Lydia Prayer Suggestions #7 ~ Pray a prayer of repentance over your life asking God to put His finger on anything that should not be there; renounce it and remove it, then move on.

Lydia Prayer Suggestions #8 ~ Using Scripture as a prayer guide is a dynamic and effective way to pray.

Lydia Prayer Suggestions #9 ~ Seek the King's glory through holiness, salvation of the lost, in the church, and as you pray for your personal needs.

Lydia Prayer Suggestions #10 ~ Let each member of your group choose a fruit of the Spirit she longs to see developed in her life, and then spend time praying for each other that the fruit chosen will be evident in a greater way than ever before.

Lydia Prayer Suggestions #11 ~ Open your hearts to God and offer the parts of your body as God's instruments of righteousness: your mind, mouth, ears, hands, arms, feet, and heart.

Lydia Prayer Suggestions #12 ~ Speak the Word of God aloud often during your prayer time. It is a powerful way to defeat the enemy and resist temptation.

Lydia Prayer Suggestions #13 ~ Quiet your heart. Create a peaceful atmosphere by lighting a candle or sitting by the fireplace. Allow yourself to reflect on the spiritual significance inspired by the properties of fire and light.

Lydia Prayer Suggestions #14 ~ Bring your petitions to God for your family. Speak the name of Jesus over any unseen evil forces that are fighting your family and your church.

Lydia Prayer Suggestions #15 ~ Clear your mind by turning your thoughts to God. Allow Him to whisper His love to you.
